Co-Anglers.com Weekly Spotlight: Edward Pyles

Co-Anglers.com: What is your home town?

Edward Pyles: Mulberry, FL

CA: What is your favorite lure?

EP: Rattle Trap. The brand rattle trap I use is the Bill Lewis Original. Gold color and I rip it the hydrillia mostly but I will throw it close to pads.

Plyes’ 13.6lb catch on Sunday June 4, 2017

CA: What tournament trail do you fish?

EP: Lakeland Bassmasters and Florida Bass Nation

CA: How long have you been a co-angler?

EP: On and Off for about 17 years

CA: What lake do you like best?

EP: Winter Haven Chain

CA: Best tournament finish?

EP: 3rd place. The tourney I came in 3rd was my first ever on Lake Eustis. Only 1 fish on a Bitters Worm Junebug color. The fish was also my personal best at 11.9lbs it was 1991 about 9 in the morning. It was with the Harris Chain Bassmasters

CA: What or who inspires you to fish?

EP: This is a hard one, people know I’m not much of a talker. But my brother Bill passed away in March and all he wanted to do was to get better and fish team tourneys with me. We fished a long time ago together. My best memory was his first limit, he was so proud. So now the rest of the season is dedicated to him.

CA: What do you expect from tournament fishing?

EP: To learn from people that have many years of experience and to be part of the fishing community.

CA: Who is one person you would like to fish with but haven’t had the opportunity to fish with yet?

EP: I would love fish with with a guy who I have watched all my life. That would be Bill Dance.

CA: Do you have a fishing goal? If so, what is it?

EP: I want to get involved in children with Epilepsy as well as adults with seizures. To get them to have a fun filled day fishing and to let their worries go away if its just for a few hours. This is close to my heart because of a head injury that I had years ago and that now I’m living my dream.
